Director Lisa Tricomi labeled the play a"love letter to democracy" with its passionate portrayal of Gov. Ann Richards' firm belief in justice, civic participation, inclusion and diversity, her whip smart wit on full display throughout. The play ran on Broadway with legendary actress Holland Taylor, who also wrote the play.

ANN had 2 successful productions at The Studio at 620 in 2022. Artistic Director Bob Devin Jones said, "It's a ravishing performance that touches you deeply. One of our proudest moments." An audience member wrote: "Thank you thank you for sharing your extraordinary talents. A one-woman show must the hardest task in show biz. You made it look effortless, like you were hosting a dinner party we were all invited to."
